Due Process
-
Due Process for All People is neither optional nor debatable. The Government of the United States of America was allowed to form and exist because the People were assured that their inalienable and inherent rights could not be stripped away. And as a backup, they kept their arms.
Due Process stops our Law Enforcement Officers from becoming judge, jury, and executioner. It mitigates the chances of innocent People being imprisoned or put to death, and assists in ensuring the actual offenders of crime are identified and charged.
Due Process is nothing more than the simple recognition of the most basic of Human rights. Without that, there is no foundation for a just legal system. The stripping and denial of our rights to provide and refute evidence, to call witnesses, hear expert testimony, and receive appropriate legal representation is not only racist, immoral, unethical, harmful, unconstitutional, inhumane, and un-American to its core, this new path our country has begun will irreversibly disintegrate faith in our local, state, and federal Law Enforcement agencies.
Unless they stand with us now. Unless the 4,000 Sheriff’s and 1,600 Police Chiefs of this nation stand up and begin to become actively non-compliant with unlawful and immoral orders. Without Due Process, we are all fundamentally guilty until proven innocent, but without the opportunity to provide proof.
